The Fighting Cock brand is named after the Philippine national sport of cock-fighting. In fact, for years, this brand was a popular Philippine-made cigar, but it is now made by Felipe Gregorio in Nicaragua. Felipe uses a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican long fillers wrapped inside of an oily Habano-seed wrapper. This blend offers an interesting, earthy flavor with hints of coffee bean, spice, and cedar notes. Look for a firm, yet even and effortless draw. We'd pair this medium-to-ful-bodied cigar with either Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout or Ron Anejo's Pampero Anivesario Rum.
