K. Hansotia worked in conjunction with the Toraño family to produce this eye-catching stogie (and we already know what fine smokes these folks put out). They feature dark Honduran wrappers and stunningly vibrant artwork upon their labels. Look for a rich flavor accentuated with a hint of spices and coffee. We have to agree with Cigar Aficionado's review of this cigar; as they put it, This rich brown cigar burns evenly, with a fine draw. It's elegant and balanced with notes of sweet spice, and a long, leathery finish. Smooth. An interesting additional note, some panel members reported notes of black cherry flavor midway through the cigar, and recommended smoking this cigar with the following drink (recipe included): mix 1 part Absolut Kurant, 1 part sweet vermouth, and 1 part dry vermouth, over ice, with a splash of grenadine. Submerge an orange wedge in the beverage and garnish with a pair of black cherries (some folks call variations of this drink the Eastwindyou'll call it a great match to this premium Toro).
