Morro Castle Churchill

Morro Castle is the famous fort at the en-trance to the harbor of Havana, a landmark erected in 1859 by Spaniards to act as a beacon for friendly ships and to guard against buccaneers. Once made by the now defunct Caribbean Cigar Co, this brand is now manufactured by the same craftsmen responsible for the Camacho and Bac-carat brands. The Churchill featured this month is handmade from extensively aged tobaccos, which combine a silky Habano seed Jama-stran wrapper and long leaf Honduran fillers. Look for a mild-to-medium body with a distinct leathery flavor. This extremely satis-fying smoke ends slightly spicy. Consider pairing this one with a hoppy India Pale Ale or your choice of a full-bodied bourbon.
