Nat Sherman cigars have a rich history, first hitting the market during the height of the Great Depression and catering to the likes of fashion execu-tives, show business stars and of course, gangsters. His family business, now it its third generation, is still busy creating some of the finest cigars on the market, including this smooth, mild Metropolitan corona. Made by hand from all long-fillers, including Dominican and Honduran leaves and topped off with very oily Connecticut shade wrapper, Nat Shermans are a pleasure to look at, and of course, to smoke. Not all of our panel members are big fans of milder cigars, but everyone was taken by this delicious specimen: super-smooth, mild-tasting with just the slightest hint of sweetness on the palate–all delivered via a smooth, supple draw. This is a very low maintenance smoke that yields a firm white ash and billows of relaxing smoke. Makes for a great morning lift; pair it with the paper and a cup of coffee.
