Handmade by the Oliva family in Esteli, Nicaragua, Sol Cubano pays homage to the natives of San Salvador and the traditions and methods they practiced centuries before our time. The name means "Cuban Sun", and is representative of pure strain tobaccos grown in optimum climates and cigars made with the highest level of care and craftsmanship evoking the roots that this industry are embedded in. Distinguished from their Maduro line, the Connecticut blend utilizes choice Connecticut shade wrappers from the Connecticut River Valley, where a combination of good soil, ample rain and sunshine create some of the world's most sought after wrapper tobaccos. These silky smooth leaves ensconce a rich blend of smooth, hearty Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos that have been patiently aged and expertly blended to ensure a mature, well-balanced smoke. Look for robust notes of black pepper & spice, aged leather, a slight creaminess, and a bold cedary finish. Nicely complemented by a peppery, lightly chilled Añejo Tequila.
