One of the more unique cigars that we have sent, the Vega Talanga Tercio is a Honduran Puro sporting a festive pigtail top and an uncut shaggy foot. The term "tercio" refers to the bark in which the cigars are encased. A natural bark harvested from Royal Palm trees, Tercio has been used for centuries in Cuba to package cigars because of its odorless and porous fibers which allow it to cure naturally. Unfortunately, each cigar is not individually wrapped in it and so to actually see the tercio yourself, you'll need to buy a full box! We found the Vega Talanga Tercio Toro to be a medium-bodied smoke, somewhat complex in flavor. Look for cedar, nut, and earthy tones. Overall, a solid smoke. Great taste and construction. Pair it up with a tawny port or peaty singly malt scotch.
